January is “Hot Tea Month” - and with good reason!
This month we are focusing on refreshing our minds and bodies. A hot and nourishing pot of our Herbal Teas is a big part of it, so we’ve put together a breakdown of why some of our favourite Herbal Teas ingredients are helping us do just that.
Without bias, lemongrass is one of our favourite ingredients. It has a vibrant flavour profile with mildly sweet, minty and lemony notes enhanced by a sharp finish. Rich in antioxidants, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, this ingredient is highly beneficial and used to promote a healthy lifestyle including aiding in digestion, and is even known to help kickstart the metabolism and regulate cholesterol.
Bael Fruit มะตูม
Bael fruit, sometimes referred to as “wood apple,” has a distinct and comforting smoky aroma with a hint of sourness. It is indigenous to South and Southeast Asia and is most widely known for promoting and maintaining a healthy digestive system. One of bael fruit’s great qualities is that it’s very high in vitamins A, C, B1, B2, carotene, potassium and calcium - to name a few! It’s great consumed as a hot tea or even prepared as a cold drink in the warmer months.
Pandan, or “screw pine” is an incredibly versatile and aromatic plant that offers a sweet floral fragrance. While used for centuries in Southeast Asia, the Western interest in pandan is growing due to its health benefits and excellent culinary properties. This ingredient is full of vitamins and antioxidants such as beta-carotene, vitamin c, thiamin, riboflavin and niacin and is known to help manage blood sugar.
Kaffir lime is a type of citrus native to various parts of Asia. While the fruit is extremely versatile, the leaves are what is used to make this ingredient perfect for tea. It boasts a uniquely tart and pleasant flavour that pairs incredibly well with lemongrass, and the leaves aren’t as bitter as those of a regular lime. This ingredient is highly respected in herbal medicine, with many health benefits due to its high content of beneficial organic compounds. Kaffir can help to improve oral health, maintain the digestive system, and lower inflammation while boosting immunity, with an added bonus in stress reducing properties.
With all of these incredible ingredients (and more) let us fill you in on our process of making the teas!
All of our teas are harvested from our organic farm in the north of Thailand and each step is done by hand. First, the ingredients are carefully handpicked, washed and sliced. Next they are laid out to dry in the sun for three days before being gently fire roasted. From here, our teas are packed straight from the roasting pan, directly to your tea pot!

Ingredient Spotlight | Butterfly Pea
Butterfly Pea (in Thai: ดอกอัญชัน) is an amazing herb native to tropical Asia - including Thailand. This vibrant flower has been used as a natural food & drink colouring for years across Southeast Asia. In traditional Thai cooking, the pretty flower is squeezed for their luminous blue colouring which is typically added to coconut milk (or other bases) to create bright, fun indigo coloured desserts. A popular drink called ‘Nam dok anchan’ is a brightly coloured drink made with Butterfly Pea that can served hot or cold. It's commonly mixed with honey and lemon (sometimes a sugar syrup for sweetness), but can be mixed with other flavours like mint, cinnamon, passion fruit and ginger.
Thai people also take these flowers and dip them into a batter and then fry them. This makes for a a crispy, tasty snack - beats potato chips any day in our books!
But interestingly enough, Butterfly Pea as a flower doesn't possess a strong scent. When it's used in cooking, as a tea or when it has its oil extracted for products, this is when get the amazing (but still mild) woodsy, earthy smell.
But it's not just a pretty flower.
Butterfly Pea is PACKED full of healthy antioxidants (flavonoids and peptides) has shown considerable promise in animal studies as a natural remedy for a range of health complaints.
A few things its been known to help with include low energy, anxiety, promoting sleep, hair growth and skin health. Butterfly Pea has also been consumed for centuries as a memory enhancer, brain booster, anti-stress and calmative agent.
*IN-STORE PROMOTION ONLY: Purchase any Butterfly Pea scented product & get a free gift of equal or lesser value in any scent. Valid until October 30.

In Thailand, the Jasmine Flower is the symbol of Mother's Day. It's also very common to see beautiful garlands made from Jasmine flowers hanging off of mirror's of drivers including Tuk Tuk & taxi drivers. These are known as "Phuang Malai" & not only create a nice scent, but it's believed they bring good luck to the drivers & their passengers.
When we think of promoting sleep using essential oils or scented products, a lot of folks will consider Lavender first. However, Jasmine is also commonly used to help improve sleep quality & cuts down on restless sleeping. Now, why is our Mother Earth scent worth celebrating? Here's why...
Holy Mother Earth! This blend is a mix of some of our classic Essential Oils: Lavender, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and one you may not be as familiar with - Vetiver. This combination makes for a unique scent that can be described as vibrant with a hint of calming - kind of like Mother Earth herself!
Lavender: Starting with one of the MOST popular Essential Oils, Lavender is commonly used for its calming properties. This is the calming nature of our Mother Earth Blend! It's been known to help ease anxiety, calm an active brain and even help some with issues sleeping.
Patchouli: Known for its strong spicy, yet sweet scent makes this ingredient fall into the more musky category. This Essential Oil has been known to help with colds, headaches and upset stomachs It also helps with relaxation and helps to ease stress and anxiety. While the scent can be strong, it is known as more of a relaxing oil like similar to lavender.
Ylang Ylang: This Essential Oil has a deep, rich and vibrant sweet smell to it. Found in beautiful Thailand, this scent can bring notes of custard, banana, neroli (bitter orange) honey and even some spice. We love this Essential Oil because it truly does help boost our moods and brings more of a joyful feel to those who smell it.
Vetiver: And for the more uncommon Essential Oil, Vetiver can be considered to have similar properties to Lemongrass, Citronella and Palmarosa making it another vibrant, earthy scent. It has been know to give a sense of "grounding" and calming effect.
Mother Earth Blended Essential Oil: If you LOVE the descriptions above, this Blended Essential Oil is for you. Use this in your diffuser to give a vibrant, yet grounding feel to any room. We especially love it for when we have a busy day ahead and need to feel like we have a handle on everything, but also keeping calm no matter how stressful the day may be.

Nothing like a Body Massage that doubles as a proper bath!
Start your floofy friend off with a nice shampooing using our Dog Shampoo. Just like with our hooman Shampoo, all you need to do is get their fur wet and pour a few tablespoon at a time. Take this time to give them a good, gentle scrubbing. We find that dogs tend to LOVE the Body Massage approach. Soft, gentle hands and a little firmer in their favourite spots. Once you've lathered them up, simply rinse.
Our customers love our Dog Shampoo because we use mild cleaning agents that don't dry out your dog's skin. Our Pure Essential Oils nourish your best friend's fur, leaving it nice, clean and shiny.
Let the Floof, Floof!
We think that we can all agree that part of why we love our furry friends is their floofiness or fuzziness or furriness. Whatever their coat, their cuddles are the best part. Keep their coats full of their natural moisture and tangle free with our Dog Conditioner
This conditioner is great to use after washing with our Dog Shampoo. Recommended for all coats that require moisture.
Available for 50% off from now until April 30th! Get yours for ONLY $7!

Dry Skin? Or Allergies?
Spring is just DAYS away! While Spring typically means warmer weather & the beginnings of a sunkissed ☀️ glow... it also means that those pesky floating pollen & allergens may be interfering with your skin's "glow-up game" after a long cold winter.
For some people, this time of year usually means their allergies spike & they get a runny nose and possibly itchy eyes. For others it can be more subtle with something as unassuming like dry, itchy skin.
Have you noticed Why does this matter? Well, you may have noticed recently that your skin is looking a little dull and dry these days. Maybe more than usual. We've put together some tips for you to get the skin game back in check. While there are many reasons for dry skin, pollens & allergens may be your culprit. And if not, these tips are great for you anyway!
Hint: Hydration & Bee Pollen.
